On September 13th I had the pleasure of planning and coordinating the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Meow Town in Augusta, GA. Several members of the Chamber of Commerce in Augusta were in attendance. The Chamber of Commerce members were so friendly and welcoming of a new business. I greeted guests as they arrived and directed them all inside to meet the owner of Meow Town, Laura Frazier.
Laura is a registered veterinary technician and a long time cat guardian. She had a vision to one day start a feline cat only boarding facility as well as offer behavior and training information. I'm so proud and happy for her. Laura saw a need for her community and she made it happen.
The ceremony started off with speeches from members from the Chamber of Commerce followed by Laura welcoming everyone and talking about how she started her business. As the speeches finished everyone gathered outside to witness the actual ribbon cutting. Light hors d'oeuvres and beverages were served as well as these fantastic cat cake pops from For the Love of Cake.
Guests were able to tour Meow Town and see the many options for boarding their feline friends. Meow Town also offers a boutique filled with books, treats, games, toys and even unique items for cat lovers. As members from the Chamber departed, we decided to have a champagne toast for friends and family who were in attendance to celebrate Laura's great accomplishment.
The event was a great success and I was so extremely happy to be apart of it.
